FROM COLUMBUS TO ATLANTIS

An Erasmus+ Project

OUR PROJECT

Project Description

This project is not a history project, but a vehicle for students to
explore how the world is interconnected and even if we live in different regions and even if we are
facing a world where problems seem to be solved by erecting ever more fences, this project is about our shared humanity.

INTRODUCTION

The Hypothesis

"If you saw it from a satellite
With its green and its blue and white
The beauty of the curve of the earth
And its oceans below
You might think that it's turning
But it's turning so slow"

The words may be Jackson Brown's, but the project is ours, it is an attempt to view our world from the perspective of an astronaut looking at a world with no borders, just  amazing beauty. It is about giving our students a voice to describe a world they want to live in, We start by looking at our worlds in close-up but gradually moving outwards.
