Montesarchio is a city in the province of Benevento, an italian province. The shape of the italian territory can be approximated to a boot; which region has the shape of the heel of the  boot?

There are several places where you can play sports, one of them the "Passione", which is a public football pitch where you can pay and rent the pitch for an hour to play with your friends.

There is an hour missing until the beginning of the game and the soccer field has yet to be sheared. The caretaker with his mower would take n minutes and the gardener with the tractor it would take half. Knowing that the two, working together, are able to finish the job, how long would the guardian take if he was alone at the most ?

Or you can join agonistic association like Caudium Volley!

The company "Caudium Volley" celebrates the victory of the season with a brass plate on which engrave the emblem of the team and player names. Brass costs € 5 per kg and has a density of 8.5 kg / dm ^ 3, while the processing costs € 33. What is the maximum size that can have the plate to cost less than € 50?

There are also several places to stay like the hotel "il Castello", "Cristina Park Hotel" e "La Siesta".

Usually the "Siesta" accommodates 30 people. During the Christmas season bookings it  increases by about 20%. How many people in total will the hotel host during the holidays?

Furthermore Montesarchio is flanked by other little cities such as Varoni where there is St Assunta' s church.

Knowing that the overall height of the Varoni church facade is 8 m and that the entire facade can be approximated to two square, a smaller one and a larger one, and an isosceles triangle with height equal to the difference of the side of the largest square and one of the smaller square, which measures 3 meters. Calculate the air of the total figure.

Then we can also go in other cities bigger than Montesarchio, like Benevento where we find showy vivarium

The gardener of the nursery "Votino" has available 130 flowering plants to be placed in 4 flower beds in order to form a square, 2 long file as the side of a square and a rectangle containing the half of the seedlings that he placed in the square. How many plants will he have to fix on the side of the square?

You can also reach Naples by crossing Via Napoli.

Crossing the avenue of Naples street there are 10 trees with a diameter of 20 cm on both sides, knowing that the space between each trees is the same and measures 2 m, the distance between the first 2 trees of both sides is 5 m and the volume of the parallelepiped that is formed is 1100 m ^ 3, calculates the height of each tree.

Crossing the road of Via Napoli we find ourselves in front of the police station.

We’re at the police station. Whereas the police station is reducible to a parallelepiped with a square base and it’s passed through by a flight of stairs reducible to a cylinder with a height equd to the height of the station. The height is 70m and the side of the square is 30m, calculate the differences between the two solids (parallelepiped-cylinder), knowing that dividing the diameter of the cylinder in 3 parts, considering that 2 are equd to: the height of the building divided by 5 minus the side of the base square divided by 3.

Do you know what is the altitude of Montesarchio?

In the route between Montesarchio and Naples, there is Forchia, a city where there was a fight between the Romans and indigenous people that lived in the caudium valley.

"WHICH IS THIS COMMUNITY?"

In Montesarchio there is a teenagers' landmark which is the Piazzetta.

Assuming that there are 10 benches in the square and that each bench can accommodate at least 3 people and a maximum of 5 persons, calculate how many people can sit at the minimum and how many people at the most.

Outside, the school has different flags.

The highest point of the city is the Tower which was built under the Lombard control.

Supposing that the diameter the lower part of the tower is 50 m and its height is 5m and that the diameter of the smaller part is 7m and its height is 2m, calculate the total volume of the tower."

Near piazzetta there is the Primary school.

On one side of the primary school there are 28 windows. Every window is divided into 6 squares. Each square has an area of 16cm^2. Calculate the total of the areas of all the windows.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT ARE THE COLOURS OF THE ITALIAN FLAG?

The highest point of the city is the Tower which was built under the Lombard control.

Supposing that the diameter the lower part of the tower is 50 m and its height is 5m and that the diameter of the smaller part is 7m and its height is 2m, calculate the total volume of the tower.

In the tower, we find the Assteas' vasemade by Assteas, a Greek pottery painter of the IV century.

The Assteas Vase, is transported, from a museum to another, into a parallelepiped shoped box. The box’s base is a square with a 29cm diagonal. Knowing that the parallelepiped height is twice the base diagonal, find the box volume.

Getting off we can see the church of St. Trinity.

The floor of a church can be approximated to a chessboard. In a chess game, the player with the black pieces makes the first three moves specularly to the white ones.

So the player with white pieces doesn't miss the opportunity to do checkmate at the fourth move; how can he do this?

There is another church: the Annunziata's church, in Umberto I 's square

We are in front of Annunziata’s Church. We see that its tympanum can be considered as an isosceles triangle. Supposing thatits base is 3m and its height is 1 m, calculate the tympanum’s perimeter.

In the same square there is a fountain of Ercules and a library.

some workers want to fill the fountain, but to do this they have to know its volume. Knowing that its diameter is 5m and its height is 1.5m, calculate the volume.

On a shelf in the library there are 150 books of which 50 horror, 30 thriller , 30 fantasy novelsand the rest are historical novels. Picking a random book what is the probability of taking one of thriller genre? And a historical novel?

In this square there is also a big clock and the "Tree of life"

The clock facade is a rectangle that has a base of 2m and a diagonal of 5m. Knowing that the clock radius is 0.50m, calculate the facade area, excluding the area of the clock.

Crossing one of the numerous alleys we move at St. Francesco' s church, flanked by the town hall.

Inside it has a huge space decorated with roman arches.

"DO YOU KNOW WHEN THE ROMAN EMPIRE ENDED?"

We are at the municipal office, which is decorated with rounded arches. Considering the measures written in this figure and calculate the perimeter of the whole arch (without the base).

Walking straight, we arrive at the communal park, where the teenagers meet.

In a villa, there are several merry-go-rounds for children, especially one has a circular shape whose center has a "dumbbell" which has also a circular shape. Knowing that the diameter of the larger circle measures 1.5 m and the diameter of the smaller circle measures 0.5 m, calculate the area of the seating (annulus).

Walking by the park we finally arrive at our school: The Enrico Fermi High School

The high school’s auditorium is divided into two parts by a corridor. In each part, there are 8 rows of chairs and 8 rows of 9 armchairs. How many people could sit in the auditorium?
