The beginning of the game

The legend says that the famous chronicler Christian Kelch was buried under roots of this linden in 1710. There are bases to believe that Kelch planted that linden by himself in 1680.

From below the trunk of the linden "is sealed up" by concrete. It was considered that it wouldl help to preserve the tree from rotting, but this opinion was wrong. However, "Kelch's linden" is still full of strength, and every spring the lower branches are full of leaves.

In the evenings guildsmen would gather in their “HQ”, talk about business and drink beer. Twice a year new brotherhood members would join. New members had to make a memorable gift to the brotherhood. In 1671 six new members gifted a silver cup, quite an unusual gift. It looked like a normal cup, but it had a double bottom, so that if one wanted to drink, the wine would disappear into the cup, so the man would be fooled.
